Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Summary:

Utkarsh Animal Hospital is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards across the hospital premises. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals, staff, and visitors, in accordance with veterinary and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations including cleaning, waste disposal, and disinfection.

• Ensure proper cleaning of all areas including waiting rooms, treatment areas, kennels, operating rooms, and administrative offices.

• Prepare cleaning schedules and assign duties to housekeeping staff.

• Monitor inventory and manage stock of cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to hospital cleanliness and hygiene standards.

• Train and guide housekeeping staff on safety, hygiene protocols, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, pest control, and incident reports.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control policies specific to an animal hospital.

• Address staff issues, absenteeism, and discipline as necessary.

• Coordinate with the veterinary and administrative teams for special cleaning needs or maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in housekeeping (experience in a hospital or veterinary environment is preferred).

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, materials, and equipment.

• Ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Basic understanding of hygiene standards for healthcare or veterinary facilities.

• Good organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
