House Keeping Staff

A Housekeeping Job Description involves cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing spaces (rooms, common areas, bathrooms) by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing linens, restocking supplies (toiletries), and managing laundry, while also reporting maintenance issues, lost & found items, and adhering to strict health/safety standards to create a comfortable, welcoming environment in homes, hotels, or commercial buildings. 

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and disinfect all areas, including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and common spaces.

• Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, carpets, and rugs.

• Bedding & Linens: Change bed linens, replace towels, and manage laundry (washing, drying, ironing).

• Supply Management: Restock toiletries, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities; keep linen rooms stocked.

• Waste Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and debris efficiently.

• Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any necessary repairs, damages, or safety hazards to management.

• Guest Service (Hotels/Residences): Handle guest requests, ensure privacy, and turn in lost & found items.

• Equipment Care: Clean, disinfect, and properly store all cleaning equipment after use. 

Key Requirements/Skills

• Strong eye for detail and cleanliness.

• Physical stamina to stand, lift (around 25 lbs), and perform manual tasks.

• Ability to work efficiently, sometimes unsupervised, and manage time well.

• Adherence to strict health, hygiene, and safety protocols.

• Good communication skills for reporting issues.

• Hotels: Focus on guest rooms, public areas, and amenity stocking.
