Pet Caretaker – Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Caretaker. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets under our care while maintaining a clean and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Pet Care

Feed pets according to dietary instructions and schedules

Provide fresh water throughout the day

Monitor health, behavior, and any signs of distress

Exercise & Enrichment

Walk dogs as per schedule

Engage pets with playtime and mental stimulation activities

Maintain safe and supervised interaction between multiple pets

Hygiene & Environment Maintenance

Clean kennels, litter boxes, cages, and play areas

Maintain overall cleanliness and hygiene of the facility

Groom pets lightly when required (brushing, bathing, nail trimming if trained)

Health & Safety

Administer medications (if trained/authorized)

Record daily observations and report health concerns

Follow safety protocols for handling animals of different temperaments

Customer Interaction

Greet pet owners and provide updates on their pets

Maintain good communication and assist with check-in/check-out procedures

Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and positive attitude
