The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. The role ensures high service standards and contributes to guest satisfaction.
Clean and prepare guest rooms as per hotel standards.
Make beds, change linens, replace towels and room amenities.
Dust, vacuum, mop floors, clean bathrooms, and sanitize all touchpoints.
Ensure all equipment and materials are used safely.
Maintain cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, elevators, staircases, and other public spaces.
Follow cleaning schedules for deep cleaning and periodic tasks.
Handle soiled linen, send to laundry, and collect clean linen.
Fold, store, and issue linen as per procedures.
Maintain records for linen usage and stock.
Respond to guest requests politely and promptly (extra towels, amenities, etc.).
Handle guest belongings carefully and maintain confidentiality.
Follow lost-and-found procedures.
Update supervisors on room status, maintenance issues, and special requests.
Coordinate with the Front Office for room readiness.
Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
Follow all safety rules while using chemicals and equipment.
Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.
Dispose of waste properly and follow environmental guidelines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and safety.
Ability to work in teams and handle pressure.
Attention to detail and time management.
Minimum 10th/12th pass (preferred).
0–2 years of experience in housekeeping; freshers may also apply.
Hotel experience preferred but not mandatory.
Rotational shifts.
Long hours during high occupancy.
Physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
