About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly responsible, and hands-on Estate Manager / House Manager to oversee the complete day-to-day operations, maintenance, upkeep, and services of a 3-acre private farm house in Chattarpur.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 40 employees and ensuring that the property, residence, gardens, infrastructure, utilities, and support services are maintained to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong people-management skills, excellent coordination abilities, attention to detail, and the flexibility to manage situations that may require working beyond standard timings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estate & Property Management
Oversee the complete day-to-day functioning and upkeep of the 3-acre farm house.
Ensure the property, buildings, external areas, utilities, and facilities remain clean, functional, safe, and well-maintained.
Conduct regular inspections of the property and identify maintenance requirements proactively.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure all facilities are operational and ready as per the requirements of the CMD and family.
2. Team Management
Directly manage and coordinate a team of approximately 40 employees.
Plan manpower deployment, shifts, duties, leave, and daily responsibilities.
Monitor attendance, discipline, grooming, conduct, and performance.
Ensure effective coordination between different departments and teams.
Train, guide, and motivate staff to maintain high service standards.
Handle staff-related issues and escalate serious matters when required.
3. Departments Under the Estate Manager
The role will have responsibility and coordination oversight for functions including:
Plumbing & Maintenance
PEM / Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
Horticulture & Landscaping
Façade / External Building Maintenance
Housekeeping and other estate-support functions, as applicable
Coordination with external vendors, contractors, and service agencies
4. Horticulture & Landscaping
Ensure proper maintenance of lawns, gardens, plants, trees, and landscaped areas.
Coordinate with horticulture staff for watering, pruning, plantation, pest control, fertilization, and seasonal maintenance.
Maintain the overall aesthetic appearance of the farm house and surrounding areas.
5. Maintenance & Engineering
Monitor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, water supply, drainage, pumps, and other essential systems.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Coordinate with technicians and external agencies for specialized repairs.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and recurring issues.
Ensure breakdowns are attended to promptly.
6. House & Guest Readiness
Ensure the residence and all relevant areas are prepared as per the CMD/family's requirements.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, horticulture, and other teams before important visits, events, or gatherings.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, functionality, and service at all times.
7. Vendor & Contractor Management
Coordinate with external contractors, technicians, suppliers, and service providers.
Monitor the quality and timely completion of outsourced work.
Verify work completion and coordinate with the concerned team for service-related issues.
Ensure vendors follow property rules, safety requirements, and expected service standards.
8. Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor consumption and availability of maintenance and estate-related materials.
Ensure proper stock levels of essential items.
Minimize wastage and unnecessary expenditure.
Maintain appropriate records of inventory, maintenance materials, and equipment.
9. Safety & Security Coordination
Ensure basic safety standards are followed across the estate.
Coordinate with security personnel and other teams for smooth property operations.
Identify potential safety, maintenance, or operational risks and take corrective action promptly.
Ensure emergency situations are handled efficiently and escalated appropriately.
10. Reporting & Administration
Maintain daily/weekly operational reports as required.
Report important maintenance issues, staff matters, expenditure, and incidents to management.
Maintain records related to manpower, maintenance, vendors, assets, and property operations.
Ensure instructions from the CMD/management are implemented promptly and discreetly.
Candidate Profile
Education
Graduate or Diploma in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Engineering, Hotel Management, Property Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
8–15 years of relevant experience in estate management, luxury residential property management, private farm house management, facility management, hospitality, or a similar environment.
Experience managing a large team of 30–40+ employees is highly preferred.
Experience managing a high-value private residence, luxury estate, farm house, palace, hotel, or large residential property will be an advantage.

Working Hours: 9 hours per day
Working Days: 6 days per week
Weekly Off: Sunday
The candidate must be flexible with working timings and should be willing to extend or adjust working hours whenever required based on the requirements of the CMD/family, events, emergencies, or operational needs.
