Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Assistant Shift Manager to support the day-to-day operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Shift Manager to ensure staff productivity, customer satisfaction, and smooth shift transitions. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Shift Manager in overseeing daily operations and shift activities.

• Supervise and support team members to ensure efficient workflow and high performance.

• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.

• Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

• Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover between shifts.

• Assist in training new employees and reinforcing company standards.

• Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.

• Track shift performance metrics and provide reports to management.

• Step in to manage the shift in the absence of the Shift Manager.

Qualifications And skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience, ideally in a [industry-specific] environment.

• Proven experience in a supervisory role (2+ years preferred).

• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling or POS systems (as applicable).

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Proficiency in using shift management or POS systems is a plus.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
