We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Incharge to oversee daily operations at our facility in Kathwada, Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end warehouse activities, including inventory control, stock reconciliation, inward/outward logistics, team management, and compliance with local safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Inventory Management
Manage daily inbound (GRN/Unloading) and outbound (Dispatch/Loading) processes efficiently.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems (Tally, SAP, or custom software).
Conduct regular physical stock audits, cycle counts, and periodic reconciliation against system balances.
Ensure minimal stock variance, damage, and inventory loss.
2. Storage & Space Utilization
Optimize warehouse layout, racking, and floor space for maximum operational efficiency.
Implement organized storage practices based on FIFO (First-In, First-Out) / LIFO principles and ABC inventory analysis.
Maintain clear labeling, bin numbering, and designated zones for fast-moving vs. slow-moving stock.
3. Logistics & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with local transporters, freight carriers, and logistics vendors around Kathwada, Odhav, and the wider SG Highway / Ring Road logistics corridors.
Ensure timely dispatch of goods with accurate documentation (E-Way Bills, Delivery Challans, Gate Passes, Commercial Invoices).
Handle local material movements efficiently across Ahmedabad and nearby industrial hubs.
4. Team Supervision & Workforce Management
Supervise, train, and manage warehouse helpers, material handlers, forklift operators, and packing labor.
Prepare duty rosters, track attendance, and ensure high productivity across shifts.
Maintain strict discipline and adherence to workplace policies.
5. Safety, Maintenance & Compliance
Enforce industrial safety standards (PPE usage, fire safety equipment, clear gangways).
Oversee regular maintenance of material handling equipment (Forklifts, Hand Pallet Trucks, Stackers).
Ensure strict hygiene, cleanliness, and pest control throughout the Kathwada facility.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) or Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management.
Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in warehouse management or store operations (preferably in manufacturing or FMCG).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Tally Prime, or dedicated WMS) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Languages: Fluency in Gujarati and Hindi is required for day-to-day coordination with local labor and transporters; functional English is essential for reporting.
Location Preference: Candidates residing in or near Kathwada, Odhav, Nikol, Naroda, or Vastral will be preferred.
