Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is Minimum Qualification and Experience Range. The Logistics Operations Vehicle Maintainer is responsible for ensuring that all company vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and available for daily operations. The role includes preventive maintenance, repair coordination, vehicle inspections, documentation, statutory compliance, and minimizing vehicle downtime. Besides this, proficiency with inventory tracking systems and ability to manage time effectively is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections of fleet vehicles before and after trips.
Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinate repairs with authorized service centers and workshops.
Ensure vehicles comply with all legal and statutory requirements (Registration Certificate, Insurance, Pollution Under Control Certificate, Fitness Certificate, Road Tax, Permits, etc.).
Maintain accurate service, repair, fuel, tyre, and maintenance records.
Monitor vehicle breakdowns and arrange emergency roadside assistance.
Track tyre life, battery condition, and spare parts inventory.
Verify repair quality before releasing vehicles for operations.
Coordinate with drivers regarding vehicle condition and maintenance issues.
Monitor fuel efficiency and identify abnormal fuel consumption.
Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of all fleet vehicles.
Support accident reporting, insurance claims, and repair follow-up.
Work with operations to reduce vehicle downtime and improve fleet availability.
Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
ITI (Motor Mechanic/Automobile) may also be considered with relevant experience.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, logistics, transport, or automobile service operations.
Experience handling commercial vehicles (LCV/HCV) is preferred.
Required Skills
