Supervisor — 2 openings

Reports to: Warehouse / Operations Manager (Proway) with day-to-day coordination with the client's stores/dispatch Location: Client site, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai | Type: Full-time, on Proway payroll | Shift: Rotational (to be confirmed with the client)

Role summary: Run the shift-level warehouse operation for finished packaging material and raw materials: inbound, storage, picking, dispatch, and the manpower on the floor.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate the shift's manpower (labourers, operators, DEOs) against inbound and outbound schedules.

• Supervise unloading, put-away, picking, staging and truck loading; verify quantity and condition against GRN and delivery documents.

• Ensure stock accuracy: cycle counts, bin-location discipline, FIFO/FEFO, and prompt resolution of variances.

• Enforce site safety rules: PPE, forklift and pedestrian segregation, housekeeping, incident reporting.

• Maintain attendance, overtime and deployment records for the contract workforce; support compliance audits (PF, ESI, CLRA registers).

• Prepare shift and daily MIS for Proway and the client; escalate delays, damages and shortages.

• Coordinate with the client's stores, quality and transport teams.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/PG in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.

• Experience: 2–4 years in warehouse or logistics supervision; FMCG, packaging or manufacturing-plant warehousing preferred; has handled a team of 10+.

• Skills: MS Excel (filters, pivots, lookups); working knowledge of SAP or another WMS/ERP; team handling; basic contract-labour compliance awareness; English and Tamil (Hindi an advantage).

• Willing to work rotational shifts.

Indicative gross (planning estimate): ₹22,000–24,000/month; floor ₹14,233.
