Job Overview

Position: Store Operations Executive / Warehouse Associate (Picker & Packer)

Location: Inside Blinkit Dark Stores (No outdoor travel, sun, or rain)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Shift Structure: Rotational shifts (including early morning, day, and night shifts), typically a 6-day work week.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The entire workflow happens on a tight clock. The moment a customer places an order on the app, the picker-packer has only a few minutes to get the order completely ready for the delivery rider.

1:

Receive Order via App

Within 30 seconds

Monitor the store’s handheld device or scanning terminal for incoming customer orders. Review the digital packing list for items, specific brands, and correct quantities.

2:

Pick the Items (Picking)

Within 2-3 minutes

Navigate the dark store aisles efficiently to locate the products. You must carefully verify expiration dates, check that fresh produce (fruits/vegetables) looks good, and ensure item weights match the order.

3:

Pack and Label (Packing)

Within 1-2 minutes

Pack the picked items safely into the official Blinkit delivery bags. Keep heavy items at the bottom, separate fragile products (like eggs or glass bottles), and isolate cold items. Securely seal the bag and print/attach the correct order barcode or receipt.

4:

Handover to Rider

(Immediate)

Place the fully prepared and labeled order package at the designated dispatch dock/counter for the assigned Blinkit delivery partner to pick up instantly.

Additional Daily Store Tasks:

•Inward Stocking: Assist in receiving incoming supplier trucks, counting new inventory, and scanning it into the system.

•Put-away: Neatly arrange fresh stock onto the warehouse racks using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to ensure older stock sells before newer stock.

•Inventory Control: Participating in stock audits, identifying damaged products, and keeping the store aisles completely clean and organized.

Eligibility & Requirements:

You do not need prior corporate experience or high-level degrees to get started. The role is very friendly to freshers.

Education: Minimum 10th pass or 12th pass.

Age Limit: Usually between 18 and 35 years.

Skills Needed:

•Basic reading and counting skills (to read product names and counts on the screen).

•Familiarity with using smartphones and handheld scanning applications.

•Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk around the store aisles, and lift inventory crates throughout your shift.

•Mandatory Documents: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, and a personal Bank Account (for salary transfers).
