Job Title: Fleet Supervisor – HMV Operations (Heavy Motor Vehicle)

Location: Toranagallu, Bellary

Department: Fleet Operations / Transport Management

Reporting to: Cluster Manager / Head

Job Purpose

The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of heavy motor vehicle fleets, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transport operations. The role requires supervision of drivers, monitoring vehicle performance, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and driving operational excellence to support timely and reliable logistics services.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Fleet Coordination 
• Oversee daily deployment of HMV vehicles on routes, hubs, and client locations 
• Ensure timely loading, unloading, and deliveries 
• Monitor trip schedules and vehicle turnaround to improve utilization 

2. Driver Management 
• Assign routes and brief drivers on safety and operational guidelines 
• Track driver attendance, discipline, and performance 
• Ensure compliance with RTO regulations and company policies 

3. Safety & Maintenance 
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections with the maintenance team 
• Handle breakdowns, accidents, or route deviations 
• Promote safety standards and defensive driving practices 

4. Reporting & Documentation 
• Track key performance metrics: fuel usage, trip adherence, downtime, etc. 
• Maintain trip logs, driver rosters, and vehicle records 
• Prepare periodic reports for management 

5. Coordination & Support 
• Work closely with clients for smooth loading/unloading and POD completion 
• Coordinate with vendors, mechanics, and support teams 
• Assist the Operations/Cluster Manager in resolving issues and escalations 

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate or Diploma in Logistics/Transport (preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in fleet/transport operations (HMV experience preferred)
• Knowledge of RTO rules and fleet management systems
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Good communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Basic knowledge of MS Office or fleet management software
