Reach Truck / Forklift Operator (with licence) — 9 openings

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Location: Client site, Chennai | Type: Full-time, on Proway payroll | Shift: Rotational (to be confirmed)

Role summary: Operate reach trucks and forklifts safely for unloading, put-away, retrieval and loading of palletised and reeled packaging material.

Key responsibilities

• Operate reach truck (narrow-aisle, high-bay racking) and counterbalance forklift as assigned.

• Unload inbound vehicles, put away pallets/reels to allocated locations, retrieve for picking and load outbound vehicles.

• Perform pre-shift checks (brakes, forks, hydraulics, horn, lights, battery/fuel) and log defects; no operation of a faulty machine.

• Follow site safety rules: speed limits, load-capacity limits, pedestrian segregation, PPE.

• Place stock only in the correct rack location and follow the Supervisor's location instructions; report damaged pallets or packaging.

• Support battery charging/changeover and basic housekeeping around the equipment.

Requirements

• Education: 8th/10th pass.

• Licence: Valid forklift/reach truck operator licence or recognised operator training certificate is mandatory (copy to be submitted at onboarding); valid driving licence preferred. The client may require its own site competency test/induction.

• Experience: 1–3 years operating forklift; reach truck experience in racked warehouses preferred.

• Skills: Safe material handling, pallet and rack awareness, basic equipment checks, willingness to work shifts.

• Clean safety record; medical fitness (vision and hearing) required.

Indicative gross (planning estimate): ₹17,000–21,000/month, higher for proven reach-truck/high-bay experience; floor ₹14,233.
