Job Title: Floor Associate

Reporting To: Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
Job Summary
The Floor Associate is responsible for maintaining the grocery store floor, assisting customers, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are displayed properly. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, monitoring product availability, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet customers and assist them in locating products.
Answer customer queries related to products, prices, and offers.
Ensure customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
Stock Management
Refill shelves and racks with products as per store standards.
Check product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items.
Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO method).
Merchandising
Maintain proper product display and shelf arrangement.
Ensure price tags and promotional labels are correctly placed.
Support in implementing promotional displays.
Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene on the store floor.
Ensure aisles are organized and free from obstacles.
Report any damages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Inventory Support
Assist in stock counting and inventory checks.
Support during stock receiving and unloading.
Inform management about low stock or fast-moving items.
Billing Support (if required)
Assist the billing counter during rush hours.
Help customers with packing their purchases.
Skills & Requirements
Basic communication and customer handling skills.
Ability to work in shifts including weekends and holidays.
Physically fit to handle stocking and lifting products.
Basic knowledge of grocery products and store layout preferred.
Qualification
Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass
Experience: 0–2 years in retail or grocery store (preferred but not mandatory)
