As part of our expanding operations, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Field Sourcing Executive to manage material sourcing, vendor coordination, and on-site material delivery.
Job Overview
The Field Sourcing Executive will be responsible for identifying and sourcing construction materials, negotiating competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery to project sites, and coordinating closely with site engineers, vendors, and internal teams. This role requires strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and hands-on field experience in construction procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Material Sourcing & Vendor Management
Identify and source construction materials from local markets and approved vendors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Compare prices, quality, and availability to ensure cost-effective sourcing.
Identify alternate vendors to avoid dependency and reduce procurement risks.
Price Negotiation & Procurement
Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Ensure procurement aligns with approved project budgets and timelines.
Coordinate purchase orders and ensure follow-up until materials are received at site.
Support management with comparative statements and cost-saving recommendations.
Market Analysis & Cost Control
Monitor market price fluctuations of construction materials regularly.
Update the team on changes in rates, availability, or supply issues.
Assist in controlling project costs through efficient sourcing and negotiation.
Site Coordination & Material Delivery
Ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites as per project requirements.
Coordinate daily with site engineers, supervisors, and project teams.
Handle delivery delays, shortages, damages, or quality issues promptly.
Ensure proper unloading, stacking, and storage of materials at site.
Inventory & Material Planning
Track material consumption and balance stock at sites.
Coordinate with site teams to forecast upcoming material requirements.
Prevent shortages, excess ordering, or site-level material mismanagement.
Quality Check & Compliance
Verify material quality during dispatch and at the time of delivery.
Ensure materials meet approved specifications and project standards.
Coordinate replacements or returns for rejected or damaged materials.
Billing & Payment Coordination
Collect quotations, delivery challans, invoices, and supporting documents from vendors.
Coordinate with accounts team for bill verification and timely payment processing.
Ensure documentation compliance including GST and internal audit requirements.
Daily Reporting & Internal Coordination
Provide daily updates on sourcing status, deliveries, and pending materials.
Maintain basic records of purchases, vendor details, and material movement.
Coordinate with planning, billing, procurement, and accounts teams.
Emergency & Critical Sourcing
Handle urgent and last-minute material requirements at project sites.
Arrange alternative sourcing during shortages or vendor delays.
Ensure minimal project disruption due to material availability issues.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Any graduate or diploma holder.
Minimum 2 years of experience in field sourcing, procurement, or construction material purchasing.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, blocks, tiles, fittings, and finishing materials.
Ability to understand basic BOQs, material schedules, and site requirements.
Familiarity with local supplier markets in Hyderabad and nearby areas.
Professional Skills
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong follow-up and coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple sites and tight delivery timelines.
Good time-management and problem-solving skills.
Documentation & Reporting
Ability to maintain daily material movement and vendor records.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
Experience coordinating purchase documentation with accounts teams.

Good interpersonal skills to manage vendors, drivers, and site teams.
Other Requirements
Two-wheeler mandatory with a valid driving license.
