Job Title: Dispatch Executive

Industry: Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
Reports To:  City Manager 
Location: Chennai

Job Summary:

The Dispatch Executive is responsible for coordinating, processing, and monitoring ice cream orders from Swiggy and Zomato, ensuring timely dispatch, accurate order handling, and real-time delivery status updates using dispatch software while maintaining cold-chain standards

Key Responsibilities:

·        Manage and process online orders from Swiggy and Zomato platforms.

·        Coordinate with delivery partners to ensure on-time dispatch of frozen products.

·        Ensure ice cream is dispatched within the required temperature range to avoid melting.

·        Update and track order and delivery status using dispatch / order management software.

·        Verify order accuracy (product, quantity, packaging) before handover to delivery partners.

·        Handle order delays, cancellations, and customer escalations in coordination with the operations team.

·        Maintain daily dispatch records, reports, and platform dashboards.

·        Ensure proper packaging and sealing of frozen products before dispatch.

·        Coordinate with production, packaging, and store teams for order availability.

·        Follow food safety, hygiene, and operational SOPs

Key Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications:

·        Minimum 1graduate preferred.

·        Experience in food delivery, QSR, FMCG, or cloud kitchen operations is an advantage.

·        Basic knowledge of Swiggy and Zomato merchant apps.

·        Ability to work on computer/software systems for order tracking and reporting.

·        Basic computer skills (MS Excel, order management systems).

·        Good coordination and communication skills.

·        Ability to work under pressure during peak hours

Working Conditions:

·        Shift-based role including weekends and holidays.

·        Fast-paced environment with peak-hour workload.

·        Indoor role with coordination across multiple teams
