Job Description: Stewards/Waiters
Overview
Waiters are responsible for providing professional, helpful, and friendly service to guests. Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Interaction & Order Taking (Via Samsung Tablets)
- Greeting & Menu Presentation: Welcome guests, present menus, and provide information regarding daily specials or unavailable items.
- Service Standards: Maintain professional eye contact and explain ingredients or preparation methods upon request.
- Upselling: Recommend appetizers and desserts to enhance the dining experience and increase the average check size.
- Order Accuracy: Accurately record and repeat orders to guests, provide service timelines, and enter all data into the POS system.
2. Table Service & Maintenance
- Food Service: Serve orders promptly, ensuring all items match guest requests and meet quality standards.
- Table Care: Monitor and refill water glasses regularly.
- Guest Satisfaction: Periodically check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or complaints immediately.
- Clearing: Remove used plates and cutlery as courses are finished to maintain a clean table environment.
3. Billing & Side Work
- Payment Processing: Present accurate checks and process payments via cash, credit cards, or digital wallets.
- Operational Duties: Perform opening and closing tasks, including wiping crockery, refilling condiments, and tidying stations prior to peak hours.
