Job Summary:
The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, dining area, and service areas. The role involves supporting kitchen and service staff by ensuring that all utensils, crockery, cutlery, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and back-of-house areas.
Handle dishwashing machines and cleaning supplies safely.
Assist chefs and kitchen staff in basic food preparation when required.
Dispose of waste and maintain proper garbage segregation procedures.
Refill and stock necessary supplies such as cutlery, plates, and glasses.
Follow all safety and hygiene standards as per company and FSSAI guidelines.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
Ensure efficient cleaning operations during and after service hours.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th Pass or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Steward or in housekeeping/kitchen support (preferred but not mandatory).
Basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
