JOB DESCRIPTION – STEWARD / WAITER

Designation: Steward / Waiter
Department: Food & Beverage (F&B)
Location: Farmhouse Group of Hotels and Restaurants
Reports To: Captain / Supervisor / Restaurant Manager

Job Purpose

To provide courteous, efficient, and professional food and beverage service to guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests in a polite and professional manner.

• Assist guests with seating and provide menus.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately when required.

• Serve food and beverages according to restaurant service standards.

• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Bar, Captain, and other team members for smooth service.

• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and ready for guests.

• Clear and reset tables promptly after service.

• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, service area, tables, and assigned section.

• Ensure cutlery, crockery, glassware, and service equipment are clean and properly arranged.

• Attend to guest requests and provide prompt service.

• Handle guest concerns politely and report complaints to the senior team.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, grooming, and workplace safety standards.

• Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant.

• Follow company rules, policies, and service procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 10th / 12th qualification preferred.

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, café, or hospitality industry is preferred.

• Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may also be considered.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is an advantage.

• Good personal grooming and hygiene.

• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
