Job Summary
A Steward in a fine dining restaurant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards, assisting servers, and ensuring guests enjoy a premium dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
Welcome guests courteously and assist them with seating arrangements when required.
Serve water, bread, and complimentary items as per restaurant standards.
Ensure guests' needs are attended to promptly and professionally.
Maintain a positive, polite, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
Table Setup & Maintenance
Prepare tables with proper cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins, and table settings.
Ensure tables are clean and properly arranged before guest arrival.
Clear used dishes, glasses, and cutlery efficiently without disturbing guests.
Reset tables quickly for the next service.
Food & Beverage Service Support
Assist waiters and captains in serving food and beverages.
Carry food orders from the kitchen to service stations or guest tables.
Ensure correct order delivery and presentation standards.
Refill water glasses and assist with guest requests.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and pantry areas.
Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Ensure all service equipment is clean and properly stored.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Inventory & Equipment
Handle crockery, cutlery, glassware, and service equipment carefully.
Report breakages, shortages, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
Assist in stock replenishment of service supplies.

Qualifications
PUC / Diploma / Hotel Management.
0–2 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, or fine dining establishments.
Freshers with a hospitality background can also apply.
Salary Range (Bengaluru)
Fresher: ₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month
Experienced Steward: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month
