Job Description – Canteen Staff (Sappadu)
Position: Canteen Staff
Location: Sappadu Canteen, CEPT college
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve food and beverages as per Sappadu standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, service counter, dining area, and utensils.
Ensure timely food preparation during breakfast, lunch, and snack service.
Assist with basic food prep, plating, and packing for takeaway orders.
Refill ingredients and monitor stock during service.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Handle customer interactions politely and resolve basic service queries.
Support billing, order taking, and cash handling when required.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Assist with opening and closing duties of the canteen.
Requirements
Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or canteen is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
Punctual, reliable, and customer-friendly.
