A waiter or waitress is responsible for delivering high-quality service by greeting guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving meals, and processing payments while maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment. They act as the primary liaison between customers and the kitchen, requiring strong communication, multitasking skills, and the ability to stand for long hours.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greeting guests, presenting menus, explaining daily specials, and providing recommendations.
Order Taking: Accurately taking food and beverage orders, including special dietary needs, and entering them into POS systems

Service Delivery: Delivering food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to tables efficiently.
Table Maintenance: Clearing dirty dishes, sanitizing tables, and setting up stations for new guests.
Payment Handling: Preparing, presenting, and processing checks and cash payments.
Team Collaboration: Working with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and resolving customer complaints professionally.
