Role Summary

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for leading the service team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, and supporting smooth day-to-day restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and ensure a warm, professional dining experience.

• Supervise and coordinate waiters/waitresses during service.

• Assign tables and manage seating efficiently.

• Take and confirm customer orders accurately.

• Ensure food and beverages are served promptly and professionally.

• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints courteously.

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area.

• Train, motivate, and guide service staff.

• Coordinate with the kitchen for smooth order execution.

• Monitor service quality and ensure SOPs are followed.

• Assist in daily opening and closing procedures.

• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and grooming standards are maintained.

• Support billing and payment processes when required.

• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Knowledge of restaurant service standards and customer handling.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.

• Basic English communication (Hindi/Kannada/Malayalam is an advantage).

• Flexible to work weekends and shifts.
