The Restaurant Captain is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations of the outlet, maintaining service quality, guiding the service team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires leadership, product knowledge, and the ability to train and motivate the team on service standards.
Customer Service & Experience
Welcome and greet customers warmly.
Ensure quick, polite, and accurate order service.
Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
Maintain positive guest relationships and ensure repeat patronage.
Team Supervision
Guide and supervise service crew during shift.
Ensure team follows SOPs, recipes, hygiene, and grooming standards.
Provide on-the-job training to new staff.
Allocate duties and manage shift planning.
Operational Excellence
Ensure proper order taking & KOT accuracy.
Monitor preparation and serving time to ensure Quick Service standards.
Ensure correct portioning and consistent product presentation.
Lead Clean-As-You-Go culture and maintain outlet hygiene.
Inventory & Cash Handling
Monitor stock levels of ingredients, packaging, and disposables.
Coordinate with store manager for indenting / stock refills.
Ensure billing accuracy and oversee cash handling during the shift.
Check DRS entries and follow the proper closing process.
Audit & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Basil standards.
Maintain MRD records, temperature logs, cleanliness checklists, and pest control logs.
Support internal audits and take corrective actions promptly.
