Key responsibilities
Staff management: Recruiting, training, and supervising staff; managing schedules, and handling employee questions and concerns.
Operations management: Overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient service, and supervising all restaurant-related areas in the absence of a manager.
Inventory and ordering: Managing inventory, ordering supplies and food, and minimizing waste.
Quality and compliance: Ensuring high-quality food and service, maintaining sanitation standards, and enforcing health and safety regulations.
Customer satisfaction: Handling customer feedback, resolving conflicts, and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
Financial oversight: Monitoring sales data, managing budgets, and contributing to financial reporting.
Menu and promotions: Collaborating on menu planning and development, and implementing promotions to drive sales.
