Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor to lead the production of powerful, story-driven video content focused on social causes. You will oversee end-to-end video creation—from ideation to final output—ensuring every piece is visually compelling, emotionally resonant, and aligned with our mission. This role requires advanced editing expertise, strong storytelling instincts, and the ability to guide junior editors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the editing of long-form and short-form videos that highlight social issues with high emotional and visual impact.

• Add advanced sound design elements—music, effects, voiceovers—to enhance storytelling.

• Conceptualize video ideas, scripts, and storyboards; guide teams during shoots and production phases.

• Create advanced motion graphics, animations, and infographic-based visuals.

• Produce multi-format content: documentaries, interviews, campaigns, explainers, social media clips, and event coverage.

• Edit sensitive testimonial-based content while ensuring authenticity and accuracy.

• Oversee pre-production: planning, shoot preparation, shot lists, and resource coordination.

• Maintain consistency in brand style, tone, and ethical representation across all videos.

• Manage and streamline the video asset library for efficient workflows.

• Conduct final quality checks ensuring technical excellence and visual consistency.

• Stay updated on social trends, digital media innovations, and editing techniques.

• Mentor and guide interns/junior editors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Film Studies, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or related fields (preferred).

• 2–5 years of professional video editing experience.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.

• Strong motion graphics skills (Adobe After Effects preferred).

• Excellent storytelling, visual composition, and pacing abilities.

• Strong leadership and project management skills.

• Experience in social storytelling, documentaries, or nonprofit content is a plus.
