The Audio & Video Editor (VFX) is responsible for editing, designing, and enhancing GPAC’s media content—including documentaries, interviews, explainers, campaigns, and community stories using high‑quality audio engineering and advanced visual effects. media output is engaging, professional, and aligned with its mission of transparent public communication, policy literacy, and social-impact storytelling. Job Description Functional Responsibilities : • Edit videos, interviews, field footage, documentaries, and explainer content for publication across media channels. • Add transitions, effects, titles, motion graphics, and VFX enhancements to improve storytelling. • Perform audio cleanup, noise reduction, mixing, mastering, voice balancing, and soundtrack integration. • Collaborate with scriptwriters, story makers, anchors, and field teams to create visually compelling narratives. • Design intros, outros, lower thirds, infographics, and brand-aligned visual elements. • Support media production by trimming, sequencing, color grading, and optimizing footage for broadcast and social media. • Manage raw footage, digital archives, file backups, and organized project folders. • Ensure all outputs follow up branding, communication standards, and messaging guidelines. • Assist in live event coverage, field shoots, and quick turnaround edits when needed. • Work with the digital and marketing teams to create high-quality promotional reels, ads, and social media videos. Required Knowledge & Experience : • 1–4 years of experience in video editing, audio mixing, and VFX creation. • Proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Audition, FCP, or equivalent tools. • Experience with motion graphics, animation basics, color correction, and visual enhancements. • Knowledge of sound engineering techniques—EQ, compression, audio cleanup, background scoring. • Experience in documentary-style editing, field-story editing, or social-impact content (preferred). • Strong visual sense, timing, pacing, and creative interpretation. • Ability to handle field footage, interviews, and large media files efficiently. Educational Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Film Editing, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, or related field. • Certification in video editing/VFX/audio engineering preferred. • Portfolio/showreel demonstrating editing and VFX work is mandatory.
