Role Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor with a strong command over advanced editing tools and a proactive, go-beyond approach to content creation. This role requires someone who can work independently, lead creative execution, and push the boundaries of video storytelling. The ideal candidate has an exceptional understanding of current trends, visual effects, narrative techniques, and market-driven content styles to create high-impact videos that stand out.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Video Editing

• Edit a wide range of video content including social media videos, commercials, event highlights, interviews, corporate videos, and branded content.

• Transform concepts into compelling visual stories through high-quality editing that captures attention and delivers clear messaging.

• Experiment with innovative editing styles, including advanced colour grading, motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects.

• Handle green screen setups, including chroma keying, lighting considerations, background replacement, and final compositing.
  
  

Creative Leadership

• Develop and propose creative video editing ideas that align with brand objectives while pushing creative boundaries.

• Mentor, guide, and review the work of junior video editors, helping them improve technical and creative skills.

• Support the development of video content strategies and creative workflows.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with the content, marketing, and creative teams to ensure videos align with campaign goals and brand tone.

• Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative direction during the planning and execution stages.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within timelines.
  
  

Trend Awareness & Skill Development

• Stay up to date with the latest video editing trends, tools, formats, and platform-specific best practices.

• Continuously upgrade videography and video editing skills in line with current market trends and evolving audience preferences.

• Introduce fresh concepts, formats, and strategies that enhance engagement and encourage social sharing.
  
  

Availability & Flexibility

• Be available to work on weekends when required, particularly for events or special shoots.

• Be flexible to support early morning or late-night event requirements based on project needs.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in video editing with a strong, diverse portfolio.

• Expertise in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.

• Deep understanding of video formats, social media requirements, codecs, and the technical aspects of production.

• High attention to detail with strong skills in colour correction, sound design, motion graphics, and compositing.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

• Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role, managing junior editors.

• Expertise in 3D animation, CGI, or advanced VFX workflows.

• Strong storytelling skills with experience in content marketing and branded narratives.

• Knowledge of video SEO and optimisation for search, reach, and engagement across platforms.
