Job Title: Hostel Warden

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and disciplined Hostel Warden to manage the day-to-day operations, safety, security, and well-being of hostel residents. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining discipline, enforcing hostel rules, assisting students with their concerns, and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the overall security and safety of the hostel premises.

• Supervise entry and exit of students/residents and ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises.

• Maintain discipline and enforce hostel rules and regulations.

• Address resident complaints, concerns, and behavioural issues appropriately.

• Provide guidance, support, and basic counselling to students/residents when required.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a healthy living environment within the hostel.

• Coordinate and respond effectively during medical emergencies, fire, or other emergency situations.

• Maintain proper records of residents, visitors, attendance, incidents, and other hostel activities.

• Communicate important information and notices to students/residents.

• Coordinate with hostel administration, parents/guardians, staff, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Organize or support social, recreational, and community-building activities.

• Report any security, disciplinary, maintenance, or other major issues to the management.

• Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the hostel.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–5 years in hostel management, residential supervision, security supervision, or a similar role.

• Education: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong sense of responsibility and discipline.

• Ability to handle students/residents calmly and professionally.

• Good problem-solving and emergency-handling skills.

• Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records is preferred.
