Job Description & Job Specification (Combined)

1. Overall Management – Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments including fitness, front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.

2. Staff Supervision & Leadership – Recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and supervise gym staff such as trainers, instructors, receptionists, and support staff.

3. Customer Service Excellence – Ensure high levels of member satisfaction by handling customer queries, feedback, complaints, and retention strategies professionally.

4. Sales & Membership Growth – Develop and implement sales strategies to increase memberships, renewals, and personal training packages.

5. Financial Management – Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, manage revenue, and ensure profitability while controlling operational costs.

6. Marketing & Promotion – Plan and execute marketing activities, promotions, events, and partnerships to enhance brand visibility and attract new members.

7. Facility & Equipment Management – Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of gym facilities and fitness equipment.

8. Health, Safety & Compliance – Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and legal standards; maintain emergency procedures and risk management practices.

9. Program Development – Coordinate fitness programs, classes, and wellness initiatives based on member needs and market trends.

10. Reporting & Administration – Maintain records related to memberships, attendance, staff performance, sales, and prepare regular management reports.

11. Communication Skills (Specification) – Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, and management.

12. Leadership & Decision-Making Skills (Specification) – Ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and make sound operational decisions.

13. Educational Qualification (Specification) – Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

14. Technical Knowledge (Specification) – Good understanding of fitness equipment, training programs, gym management software, and basic accounting.

15. Personal Attributes (Specification) – Energetic, organized, customer-focused, result-oriented, and capable of working flexible hours.
