Position Overview: We are looking out for an experienced Placement Manager with a passion for helping students succeed professionally and possessing strong networking skills to coordinate with potential employers. Accountabilities & Duties The responsibilities and duties of this job are as follows but not limited to: • Seeking an outgoing, motivated, independent thinker to work closely with graduating students, preparing them for all aspects of their job search in their exciting new career fields. • Placement manager is required to provide career counselling to the candidates, needs to look for job opportunities for candidates, review candidates resume in order to know about their educational qualification, work experience and other skills. Also conduct candidate’s interview to know about their ability and efficiency • Needs to understand the candidate’s interest and requirement before seeking a job for him. Help the candidates in writing resume and prepare the candidates for interviews, look for new job opportunities for his clients, suggest vocational courses to the candidates for better job prospects. Needs to keep in touch with clients from different organizations in order to stay updated with the new job vacancies that come up. • Should have strong relationships with employers and local partnerships with companies where students can do internships or externships or visit for job shadowing. • Planning campus hiring events like job fairs by using the knowledge of job trends and the employer network they have built to bring a variety of employers to the institute for a successful event. • Run background checks on students who seek internships or externships to verify whether the students have the prerequisite education and meet all additional requirements for the various positions at various companies and co-ordinate with employers accordingly • Conduct research to learn the skills, abilities, and credentials employers seek for. Coordinating with professors and department heads, to find relevant job titles and industries for students. • Helping students create their resumes and cover letters, find internship or externship sites, and apply for jobs in their fields are all part of a placement officers duties. Provide mock interviews to give students practice to answer common questions and provide information about various Companies hiring. • Communication skills effectively helping students with their careers requires asking specific questions and listening carefully to get useful insight on what jobs best fit them. Coordinating with employers and university departments also requires communicating clearly. • Strong analytical skills help placement officers gather job information from their research, screen students for suitable positions, and offer career development advice. Qualifications & Experience pre-requisite Minimum Qualification with Experience • Education: MBA in HR (Preferable) or other equivalent Qualification from the Educational Organization of Repute • Experience: Min. 3 Years of Experience • Specific Skills Sets: Excellent Interpersonal, Analytical, Leadership, Management, Communication and Public Speaking Skills. • Personal characteristics: Passionate for Social Upliftment, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Energetic, Go getter, Self-Driven and Self-motivated, able to handle higher Stress level, Enthusiastic. • Computer Knowledge: Advanced MS Office / MS Projects / Google Workplace / AI Tools. • Others: Willingness to travel and work at various locations across the nation.
