Vending Machine Technician

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Vending Machine Technician who will take ownership of the day-to-day technical
health of our vending machines. The role involves visiting machines across the assigned area, identifying technical
issues, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping machine downtime to a minimum.
This is a field-based, hands-on role. The candidate should be comfortable working with motors, wires, electrical
connections, sensors, power supplies and basic electronic components.
Key Responsibilities
• Visit assigned vending machines daily for technical inspection and maintenance.
• Travel to different vending machine locations daily within the assigned area for maintenance, troubleshooting
and repairs.
• Check and troubleshoot motors, motor connections, wires, connectors and electrical connections.
• Inspect SMPS / power supply, sensors, switches and other machine components.
• Check Raspberry Pi / controller connections, display and related hardware.
• Diagnose machine errors and identify the root cause of technical failures.
• Repair or replace faulty components wherever possible.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
• Respond to technical breakdowns and resolve issues within the required SLA.
• Maintain records of repairs, replacements and recurring technical issues.
• Coordinate with the operations team when major repairs or spare parts are required.
• Maintain basic inventory of tools and commonly required spare parts.
• Follow electrical and workplace safety procedures during all maintenance activities.
What We're Looking For
• Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Understanding of motors, wires, switches, connectors and power supplies.
• Ability to use basic tools such as a multimeter, screwdriver, tester and crimping tools.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Willingness and ability to travel between multiple locations every day is mandatory.
• Comfortable working in a field-based role and travelling independently.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or a related field is preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical/electronics repair, appliances, POS machines, ATMs, industrial equipment or
similar field work is preferred.
Good to Have
• Experience troubleshooting automated machines or electrical equipment.
• Basic understanding of Raspberry Pi, controllers or IoT devices.
• Experience using a multimeter.
• Knowledge of soldering and basic wiring.
