Job Purpose:
The Technician is responsible for installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment at client sites, ensuring adherence to safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction as per company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning:
• Install commercial kitchen equipment such as cooking ranges, refrigeration units, dishwashers, exhaust systems, and allied equipment.
• Ensure proper electrical and mechanical connections and functional testing.
• Support commissioning activities and final handover to clients.
Maintenance & Service:
• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace defective components and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
Customer Coordination:
• Coordinate with clients, site engineers, and consultants professionally.
• Explain basic equipment operation, safety, and maintenance procedures.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to seniors.
Safety & Compliance:
• Follow safety norms, electrical safety standards, and company SOPs.
• Use PPE and tools responsibly at all sites.
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain service reports, installation checklists, and job cards.
• Update daily work status, attendance, and assigned tasks.
• Assist in tracking tools and spare parts issued.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Basic electrical/mechanical/refrigeration knowledge.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and manuals.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at client sites.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
Educational Qualification:
• ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Refrigeration / Fitter or relevant trade.
Experience:
• 0–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Exposure to hospitality or commercial kitchen equipment is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
• Physically fit for site work.
• Willingness to work extended hours during installations if required.
