Technical Head – Green Watt Solar Energy

Green Watt Solar Energy is a premier Solar EPC company based in Kolkata. Since 2019, we have been dedicated to executing massive solar projects and trading high-quality EPC materials. As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a driven and technically sound Technical Head to lead our engineering and site operations.

Role Overview

As the Technical Head, you will be the backbone of our project execution. You will bridge the gap between initial design and final commissioning, ensuring every solar installation meets our standards of excellence. This is a leadership role that requires a mix of office-based design work and on-site supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering & Design: Oversee the preparation of detailed solar plant layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and structural designs.

• Site Supervision: Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, ensure technical compliance, and maintain safety standards.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the technical team to ensure projects are completed within stipulated timelines.

• Material Coordination: Work closely with our trading department to ensure the correct EPC materials (panels, inverters, structures) are selected and utilized.

• Quality Control: Conduct final inspections and testing of solar systems before handing them over to the client.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field).

• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in the solar industry (EPC experience preferred).

• Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of solar design software (like AutoCAD or PVSyst) is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of solar components and electrical wiring.

  • Ability to manage laborers and technicians on-site.

  • Problem-solving mindset and a willingness to travel to various project sites in and around Kolkata.
