Quality Control & Assurance
Monitor and control quality of Zorba and Zurik materials throughout processing stages (incoming, in-process, and final inspection).
Ensure compliance with customer specifications for metal recovery %, impurity limits, moisture, fines, and contamination.
Conduct regular sampling, visual inspections, and analysis of processed material.
Identify quality deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain proper segregation of conforming and non-conforming material.
Process Monitoring & Improvement
Work closely with production teams to optimize sorting, sensor-based separation, and manual picking efficiency.
Analyze rejection, downgrade, and customer complaint data to identify root causes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, recovery rate, and product consistency.
Assist in trials for process changes, new equipment, or revised quality parameters.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test results, and shipment release documents.
Prepare daily/weekly quality performance reports (recovery %, rejection %, contamination levels).
Ensure traceability of material batches from input to dispatch.
Team Supervision & Training
Supervise quality inspectors and sort-line quality staff.
Train operators and sorters on quality requirements, defect identification, and best practices.
Promote quality awareness and accountability across shifts.
Customer & Compliance Support
Support customer audits, inspections, and third-party assessments.
Assist in handling customer complaints and preparing technical responses.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and recycling regulations relevant to non-ferrous scrap processing.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce safe working practices within quality and inspection areas.
Ensure use of PPE and compliance with plant HSE policies.
Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
