About Mumbai Pav Co.
Mumbai Pav Co. is one of Bangalore's fastest-growing QSR brands, serving authentic Mumbai street food across multiple outlets. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure our outlets remain safe, fully functional, and operational at all times.
Role Overview
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance of all Mumbai Pav Co. outlets, the central kitchen, warehouse, and future locations. This is a highly hands-on role where the individual is expected to independently resolve routine maintenance issues while coordinating external vendors for specialized repairs and larger civil works.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a high sense of ownership to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Outlet Maintenance
Ensure all outlets, kitchens, warehouses, and support facilities are well-maintained and operational.
Conduct routine maintenance visits across all locations.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize issues based on operational impact.
Take complete ownership of issue resolution from identification to closure.
Electrical, Plumbing & General Maintenance
Independently troubleshoot and resolve routine electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and civil maintenance issues.
Perform first-level repairs wherever feasible.
Identify safety hazards and rectify them immediately.
Ensure maintenance work complies with safety and operational standards.
Kitchen Equipment Maintenance
Conduct first-level diagnosis and repairs for kitchen equipment.
Coordinate servicing and repairs for refrigerators, freezers, grills, fryers, exhaust systems, water purifiers, air conditioners, mixers, grinders, and other food-service equipment.
Decide whether equipment can be repaired internally, requires vendor intervention, or needs replacement.
Maintain service records, warranty details, AMC schedules, and equipment history.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain a reliable network of electricians, plumbers, refrigeration technicians, civil contractors, fabricators, and other service providers.
Obtain quotations and approvals for repairs.
Negotiate competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Supervise vendors and ensure timely completion of work.
Verify workmanship before approving invoices and payments.
Preventive Maintenance
Develop and implement an outlet-wise preventive maintenance calendar.
Conduct periodic inspections of electrical systems, plumbing, drainage, refrigeration, exhaust systems, gas connections, and civil infrastructure.
Identify potential issues before they result in operational disruptions.
Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed on time.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain a centralized maintenance tracker for all complaints and preventive maintenance activities.
Record maintenance history, repair costs, vendor details, quotations, invoices, and warranties.
Submit weekly reports highlighting completed work, pending issues, recurring breakdowns, and planned maintenance activities.
Analyze recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
New Outlet Support
Support outlet expansion projects during fit-out and pre-opening stages.
Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment.
Inspect electrical, plumbing, civil, and utility work before outlet handover.
Prepare and close snag lists before store launch.
Emergency Support
Be available to handle critical maintenance emergencies outside regular working hours whenever operationally required.
Implement temporary solutions to minimize outlet downtime until permanent repairs are completed.
Qualifications & Experience
ITI, Diploma, or Polytechnic in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Refrigeration, or a related technical field.
4–6 years of maintenance or facilities management experience, preferably in QSR, restaurants, hospitality, retail, or cloud kitchens.
Strong hands-on knowledge of electrical, plumbing, civil, carpentry, and general maintenance.
Experience managing kitchen equipment maintenance and external service vendors.
Comfortable traveling frequently across multiple locations in Bengaluru.
Basic knowledge of Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and maintenance tracking tools.
Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence is preferred.
