Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

· Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of:

· Heat treatment furnaces (batch, continuous, vacuum, atmosphere, induction, etc.)

· Quenching systems

· Burners and combustion systems

· Cooling towers and chillers

· Compressors, pumps, blowers, and hydraulic systems

· Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related faults.

· Maintain temperature control systems, thermocouples, and instrumentation.

Reliability & Troubleshooting

· Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

· Reduce downtime through root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.

· Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize production interruption.

Utilities & Facility Maintenance

· Monitor and maintain plant utilities including:

· Gas lines

· Electrical distribution systems

· Water systems

· Air compressors

· DG sets and transformers

· Ensure uninterrupted utility supply for furnace operations.

Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with:

· Industrial safety regulations

· Environmental standards

· Heat treatment process requirements

· Preventive maintenance schedules

· Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

· Maintain safe working practices during high-temperature operations.

Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts records.

· Prepare maintenance schedules and equipment history sheets.

· Coordinate with production and quality departments for machine availability.

Continuous Improvement

· Support TPM, lean maintenance, and energy-saving initiatives.

· Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve furnace efficiency and reliability.

· Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
