Job Summary

The Lift / Elevator Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance, breakdown servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operation at customer sites. The role involves handling service calls, identifying faults, and maintaining high customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators.

• Attend breakdown calls and rectify electrical, mechanical, and operational faults.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot elevator control systems, door operators, safety devices, and machine components.

• Conduct routine inspections and safety checks as per company standards.

• Replace defective parts and ensure proper functioning of all elevator systems.

• Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and breakdown logs.

• Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and issue resolution.

• Escalate major technical issues to the Service Manager when required.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Support modernization and repair activities whenever assigned.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.

• Experience: 1–5 years in Elevator Service & Maintenance.

• Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may be considered for trainee positions.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of elevator maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and safety circuits.

• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings.

• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

• Good communication and customer-handling abilities.

• Willingness to travel across assigned service locations.
