We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Repair Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading various brands and models of laptops. The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on hardware troubleshooting skills, chip-level or component-level repair expertise, and a commitment to providing high-quality service
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Repair & Maintenance
Diagnostic & Troubleshooting: Test and identify hardware failures including motherboard faults, display panel issues, power deliver delivery glitches, charging port failures, thermal throttling, and liquid damage.
Component Replacement: Perform precise disassembly and assembly to replace faulty screens, keyboards, trackpads, batteries, hinges, fans, RAM, and SSDs/HDDs.
Soldering & Board Repair: Perform component-level soldering/micro-soldering for DC jacks, IC chips, capacitors, and connectors.
Preventive Maintenance: Clean internal assemblies, re-apply thermal paste, clear dust from cooling channels, and inspect structural integrity.
Software & Operating Systems
System Reflash & OS Setup: Install, reformat, and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and essential hardware drivers.
Virus & Malware Removal: Run malware diagnostics, clean infected systems, and optimize startup performance.
Data Recovery & Backup: Perform initial data extraction, disk cloning, and backups for incoming customer devices.
Operations & Quality Control
Quality Assurance (QA): Perform rigorous post-repair testing (burn-in stress tests, port testing, battery wear checks) to ensure 100% functionality before customer handoff.
ESD & Safety Protocols: Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work bench.
Service Logging: Accurate tracking of job cards, repair notes, replacement parts used, and estimated completion times in the CRM/ticketing system.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma in Electronics / Hardware & Networking, ITI certification, or a related technical degree.
Experience: Minimum [1–3 years] of direct experience repairing laptop hardware across major brands (Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Apple, etc.).
Tools Knowledge: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, hot-air rework stations, soldering irons, and board-view software.
Analytical Skills: Strong logical troubleshooting abilities to isolate root causes efficiently.
Certifications (Bonus): CompTIA A+, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT), or brand-specific repair authorizations.
