ITI Technician

An IT Infrastructure Manager is the backbone of an organization's technology. They oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of foundational tech systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments, ensuring seamless daily operations, robust cybersecurity, and scalable growth for the business.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Architecture

• Technology Roadmap: Align the IT infrastructure with long-term organizational goals, ensuring capacity for future growth.

• System Design: Architect and maintain scalable hybrid, cloud, or traditional on-premise infrastructure environments.

• Budgeting: Manage both Capital Expenditures (CapEx) for hardware/software and Operational Expenditures (OpEx) for ongoing services.

2. Network & Server Management

• Connectivity: Oversee Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), switches, routers, and firewalls.

• Server Maintenance: Monitor and optimize physical and virtual servers (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure) to minimize downtime.

• Storage: Manage SAN, NAS, and underlying hypervisor configurations for reliable data access.

3. Security & Disaster Recovery

• Data Protection: Develop and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity plans, including routine recovery testing.

• Cybersecurity: Implement robust security protocols (encryption, access controls, spyware/antivirus protection) to safeguard data integrity.

4. Operations & Incident Management

• Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting efforts and rapid resolution of system outages or failures.

• Performance Monitoring: Identify key operational metrics and establish standard procedures for incident tracking and change management.

5. Vendor & Team Managemen

• Procurement: Negotiate contracts, Managed Service Agreements (MSAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with technology and cloud vendors.

• Team Leadership: Manage IT teams (systems and network administrators), handling recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
