Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer at Himalayan Solar, This role requires frequent travel to visit customers and project sites
Responsibility:-
Visit the assigned site promptly and identify the fault in the Solar Water Pumping System (SWPS).
Clearly document the fault in the Field Service Report (FSR) and obtain the farmer’s signature as confirmation.
If the SWPS has been tampered with or relocated by the farmer, immediately capture video and photographic evidence and share it with the Complaint Office, Panchkula.
If the fault can be rectified with available tools on-site, carry out the repair immediately. Ensure that the FSR includes detailed remarks about the repair work and is duly signed by the customer.
Replace damaged or faulty parts such as the Solar Panel, Purlin, Side Rafter, Main Rafter, Supporting Pipe, C Clamp, U Clamp, Anti-theft Nut Bolts, Controller Patti, Rotating Plate, MC4 Connector, Wiring, Motor, JB Box, etc., with new components.
Collect faulty parts and ensure they are transported to the nearest transport hub for dispatch to the Service Centre.
Once repaired, ensure the parts are safely transported back and reinstalled at the farmer’s site.
After completing the repair, submit the signed FSR along with photographs or videos showing the water discharge as proof of resolution
Give top priority to complaints registered under MSEDCL ownership
Take photographs of SWPS and Inverter Charger (IC) sites whenever required for official records.
Visit insurance claim sites to verify and assess the extent of damage or theft
Visit potential customer sites to evaluate load requirements and site conditions for new SWPS and Inverter Charger installations.
You may be required to attend to complaints or installations at any location, beyond your designated area.
Conduct thorough inspections of the system after installation to identify and rectify any punch points or installation issues.
