We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician specializing in PCB repairing and component-level troubleshooting. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, testing, and repairing faulty Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) to ensure they meet quality and operational standards. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional fine-pitch soldering skills, deep knowledge of electronic components, and extensive experience using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Component-Level Troubleshooting: Diagnose and isolate technical electrical faults down to the individual component level on complex multi-layer PCBs. [1, 2]
Precision Soldering & Rework: Perform high-quality hand soldering, de-soldering, and rework of Surface Mount Devices (SMD), fine-pitch Integrated Circuits (ICs), and through-hole components using hot air rework stations and microscopes.
Testing & Diagnostics: Utilize electronic testing equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers to safely evaluate board performance. [
Component Replacement: Correctly identify and replace faulty semiconductors, microcontrollers, MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, resistors, and diodes.
Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret electronic schematics, circuit diagrams, and wiring layouts to map out tracing and locate logic errors.
Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspection and post-repair validation testing to guarantee reliability and prevent recurring failures.
Documentation: Maintain meticulous service logs, tracking component usage, repair history, and failure patterns.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control procedures and electrical safety rules to preserve a safe workshop environment.
