Service Technician – Job Description
Position Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Repair or replace defective components in accordance with technical specifications
Respond promptly to service requests and resolve technical issues efficiently
Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
Provide technical support and guidance to clients and end-users
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
Knowledge of fitting, assembling, and installing mechanical components
Proficiency in using hand tools (spanners, files, hammers) and power tools
Experience in drilling, tapping, cutting, and grinding operations
Knowledge of measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Understanding of tolerances, limits, and fits
Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication processes
Maintenance and repair of machines and equipment
Alignment and assembly of machine parts
Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics) or a related technical field
Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair (industry-specific experience preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours if required
Fixed Salary:
₹20,000 – ₹21,000 per month
