Job Description – CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CCTV Technician to handle the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring support of CCTV and related surveillance systems across Gopalan properties. The role requires hands-on experience with IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, networking, cabling, and preventive maintenance. This is consistent with the responsibilities in Gopalan Commercials' current CCTV Technician role.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs and monitoring systems.

• Configure and troubleshoot IP cameras and remote viewing systems.

• Perform cable laying, termination, testing and connectivity.

• Diagnose and resolve CCTV hardware, software and network-related issues.

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance and system health checks.

• Ensure cameras are properly positioned and recording quality is maintained.

• Monitor storage capacity, recording status and system performance.

• Troubleshoot issues related to LAN, switches, routers and IP connectivity.

• Maintain proper documentation of installations, repairs and maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for major repairs and system upgrades.

• Support installation of additional cameras and expansion of surveillance systems.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company standards.

Additional Responsibilities

Knowledge of access control, biometric systems, boom barriers, video door phones and other ELV systems will be an added advantage.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Certification in CCTV, networking or security systems will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

Preferred CCTV Brands

Experience with systems from Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, Bosch, Honeywell or similar brands will be an advantage.
