Job Description: Domestic Home AC Technician

Position Title: Domestic AC Technician (Residential Air Conditioning Service & Repair)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Domestic AC Technician to join our team, specializing in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems in residential homes across India. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with popular home AC brands (e.g., Split AC, Window AC, Inverter AC) and a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service in a home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer service calls for AC installation, repair, and maintenance in residential premises.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in air conditioning units, including cooling problems, gas leaks, electrical faults, compressor issues, and PCB malfunctions.

• Perform installation of new Split, Window, and Cassette AC units, ensuring proper mounting, piping, wiring, and testing.

• Carry out routine servicing, including cleaning filters, coils, blowers; checking refrigerant levels; and gas charging/top-up.

• Repair or replace faulty components such as capacitors, fans, motors, thermostats, and remote controls.

• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of home AC systems.

• Educate customers on proper usage, maintenance tips, and energy-saving practices.

• Maintain accurate records of service visits, parts used, and customer feedback.

• Adhere to safety protocols while handling refrigerants, electrical components, and working at heights.

• Travel to customer locations with personal/tools vehicle and ensure timely completion of jobs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: ITI Diploma / Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC), Mechanical, or Electrical trade. (10th/12th pass with relevant vocational training also considered.)

• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in residential/domestic AC service, repair, and installation. Freshers with strong ITI training may be considered for trainee roles.

• Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of residential AC systems (Split, Window, Inverter, Cassette, Ductable).

  • Proficiency in using tools like manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, multimeters, and brazing equipment.

  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge for AC installations.

  • Ability to handle refrigerants (R32, R410A, R22) safely.

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in local language (Hindi/Regional) and basic English.

  • Customer-oriented approach with politeness and professionalism.

• Other Requirements:

  • Valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle (preferred for field mobility).

  • Physically fit to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift equipment.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends/emergencies during peak summer season.

  • Aadhar Card, PAN Card, and Bank Account details mandatory.
