Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
Cambridge IGCSE training or certification is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in secondary/high school Physics.
Experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum is essential.
Experience preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE examinations with a strong record of academic achievement.
Experience in conducting practical laboratory sessions and managing science laboratories safely.
Knowledge
Thorough understanding of the Cambridge IGCSE Physics syllabus, assessment objectives, and examination patterns.
Strong subject knowledge in mechanics, electricity, waves, thermal physics, atomic physics, magnetism, and modern physics.
Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered teaching methodologies.
Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and risk assessment.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Effective lesson planning, assessment, and reporting skills.
