A Physical Education (PE) Teacher plans and leads physical fitness, sports, and health classes to help students build motor skills, teamwork, and healthy habits.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Teach Lessons: Create and lead age-appropriate gym, outdoor, and sports activities.
Promote Fitness & Teamwork: Encourage sportsmanship, fair play, and active lifestyles.
Assess Progress: Track and grade student motor skills, participation, and physical development.
Manage Equipment & Safety: Maintain a safe environment, supervise classes, and keep sports gear clean and organized.
Coach & Supervise: Lead school sports teams, organize intramural events, or chaperone sports days.
Communicate: Share student progress and updates with parents and faculty.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Certification: State or regional teaching license/certification (where required).
Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, physical stamina, and basic First Aid/CPR knowledge.
