Job Description – IELTS Trainer

Role Overview:

As an IELTS trainer, your role is to be responsible for helping students achieve their target band scores by improving their English language skills in speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The role further involves delivering engaging lessons, identifying student weaknesses, providing personalized feedback, and using effective strategies to enhance performance. A strong focus should be placed on exam techniques, time management, and confidence building to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field

• IELTS certification (Band 7.5+ or 8+ preferred)

• TESOL / TEFL / CELTA certification (highly preferred)

• Strong command over English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation

• Familiarity with IELTS exam pattern (Academic & General Training)

Experience

• 1–3+ years of experience in IELTS training (online/offline)

• Proven track record of helping students achieve target band scores

• Experience in conducting all four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking

• Ability to handle both individual and group sessions

• Experience with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, LMS platforms)

• Skills in evaluating mock tests and providing constructive feedback

• Experience in student counselling and performance tracking
