Position: Computer Science Teacher – Junior College

Classes: 11th & 12th Standard

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Computer Science Teacher to teach students of 11th and 12th standard. The candidate will be responsible for delivering effective classroom teaching, developing students' programming and problem-solving skills, conducting practical sessions, and preparing students for board examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science concepts to 11th and 12th standard students.

• Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans according to the prescribed syllabus.

• Explain programming concepts, algorithms, databases, computer fundamentals, and other relevant topics.

• Conduct practical/lab sessions and guide students during programming exercises.

• Prepare assignments, worksheets, question papers, and study materials.

• Conduct regular tests, assessments, and practical examinations.

• Evaluate students' performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Help students prepare for board examinations and competitive examinations where applicable.

• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

• Identify students who need additional academic support and provide guidance.

• Keep teaching methods and subject knowledge updated with current technology trends.

• Coordinate with other teachers and academic management regarding student progress.

• Maintain proper academic records, attendance, and assessment reports.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Computer Science and programming.

• Good understanding of programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Java, as applicable to the curriculum.

• Knowledge of DBMS, SQL, data structures, computer networks, and computer fundamentals.

• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.

• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to motivate and engage junior college students.

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech. Computer Science / MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science or relevant qualification.

• B.Ed. / relevant teaching qualification preferred, depending on institutional requirements.

Experience

• 1–5 years of teaching experience in Computer Science/IT at Junior College, Higher Secondary, or School level preferred.

• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and good teaching skills may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.

• Comfortable handling both theory and practical/lab sessions.

• Strong command of English and/or Marathi/Hindi as required.

• Responsible, punctual, and student-focused.

• Able to work effectively as part of an academic team.
