Assistant Professor – CyberSecurity

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Professor to teach Cybersecurity and Computer Networking to B.Tech students. The candidate must be a Postgraduate (M.Tech / MCA) with strong fundamentals, practical exposure, and at least 3 years of teaching or industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in:

  • Computer Networks

  • Network Security

  • Cybersecurity Fundamentals

  • Ethical Hacking Basics

  • Operating Systems & Linux

• Conduct hands-on labs, demonstrations, and practical sessions.

• Prepare lesson plans, lab manuals, assignments, and assessments.

• Mentor students for projects, internships, competitions, and certifications.

• Support curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching methods.

• Organize workshops, seminars, and technical training sessions.

• Participate in departmental activities, academic events, and accreditation processes.

Required Qualifications

• M.Tech (CSE/IT) or MCA – Postgraduate degree is mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years of teaching or relevant industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Networking (Routing, Switching, TCP/IP, Protocols)

  • Cybersecurity concepts & tools

  • Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs

  • Linux administration

  • Basic scripting (Python/Bash preferred)

• Ability to teach practical, application-oriented concepts to B.Tech students.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CCNA, CEH, Security+, or equivalent.

• Experience with virtual labs, simulation tools, and cybersecurity platforms.

• Exposure to cloud security, SOC tools, or digital forensics.

• Experience guiding B.Tech projects and mini-projects.
