Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Indian Culinary Academy, Bangalore

Reporting To: Admin Manager / HR Manager

Job Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and orderly functioning of the campus premises. The role includes monitoring entry/exit points, safeguarding students, staff, property, and maintaining a disciplined environment within the academy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control the main entrance, ensuring only authorized persons enter the premises.

• Maintain a visitor logbook and verify identity before allowing entry.

• Patrol the campus at regular intervals to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized activities.

• Ensure CCTV cameras and surveillance equipment are functioning; report any issues immediately.

• Support in emergency situations such as fire drills, evacuations, or medical emergencies.

• Maintain discipline around the campus, especially during student movement, events, and peak hours.

• Assist staff and students when required while maintaining professionalism.

• Ensure safety of academy property, equipment, and materials.

• Report suspicious behavior or incidents promptly to the management.

• Check that all lights, doors, classrooms, and labs are properly locked and secured at the end of the day.

• Assist in basic crowd management during events, seminars, and guest visits.

• Ensure no prohibited items (alcohol, drugs, weapons, etc.) are brought into the campus.

• Stay alert, attentive, and maintain a calm, disciplined demeanor at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Security Guard (institution/hotel/office preferred).

• Strong observation and communication skills.

• Physically fit with the ability to stand for long hours and manage routine patrols.

• Basic understanding of safety protocols and emergency procedures.

• Ability to manage student crowd and handle situations responsibly.

• Must be reliable, punctual, and disciplined.

Additional Requirements:

• Should be able to join immediately.

• Preference for candidates with prior experience in an educational institution or hospitality sector.

• Candidate should maintain professional grooming and proper uniform during duty hours.
